Very cute and clean rental. The area is beautiful, mountains all around the neighborhood, the lake is very close and plenty of hiking trails in the area. The owner and host Kari, responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. They are dog friendly so my daughter was able to bring along our grand dogs. We had a great time! First - there were so many excellent parts of our experience renting this property for President’s Day weekend. Kari, the owner was super helpful - quick to respond and great to communicate with. The location was almost ideal for our desire to have a winter wonderland experience. The layout of the space was great. There was convenience and space enough to do all of our favorite things. Cooking, eating, cuddling up in cozy places . . . . We were able to have a good snow shoeing excursion by day and dinner at the Swiftwater Cellars winery. That being said, we have to warn you that if you have “Goldilocks” tendencies, this place may not work for you. Goldilocks couldn’t sleep in Papa Bear’s bed - too hard. The beds in this cabin are more suited to Papa Bear. Similarly, Goldilocks needed the temperature to be “just right,” and while that was much easier to manage, you have to stay on top of the heating or you’ll end up with a cabin that feels too hot or too cold. This place has a great game room upstairs, and we spent many happy hours playing table top games there, so our overall experience was great, although we couldn’t rate it all 5’s for Goldi’s sake.
