If you're looking for a place close to the dog beach that supplies all your basic needs to stay for an entire week as well as a dog bed and couch covers, this is the place. Finding a host that was gracious enough to allow 5 small dogs was a big ask and they were amazing for accommodating us. I've never been to San Diego before but all the houses and rentals are ON TOP of each other. This rental included a fenced in back yard with a shower to clean off the sand which was perfect for our dogs. There was also one saved parking spot, which was great because the streets were lined with cars.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I enjoy my privacy when taking a vacation but the privacy was less than I was expecting (which could be because of the area too). The neighboring units have a clean shot to the backyard and there are cameras lining the alley way. We also limited our time away from leaving the dogs in the place but if they were barking, we heard about it via group text. Same if theirs barked. Dog bark sometimes especially with properties so close together. But other than that, it was very nicely located, upkept, relatively private, and check in and out was super easy.
