We wanted a simple weekend getaway within walking distance of things to see and do. This cottage is nicely located downtown Bradenton with an easy 5 min. walk to the waterfront. The owners left coffee and creamers, which was perfect to "get us going." The king bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed lounging on the couch and watching TV after a day of activity.
We enjoyed visiting the unique "Oak and Stone" restaurant across from the pier with 46 beers on tap, pay by the ounce! Best pizza I ever had, too. Also enjoyed walking to two thrift stores downtown, breakfast at the Sage Biscuit, a drink at Pier 22 tosee the sunset and exploring the local library. We almost got tickets to the performing arts center about 10 min away on foot, but opted for a sunset cruise to see dolphins off Anna Maria Island instead (Fun Boat).
