Pros: very safe residential area that's close to a ton of restaurants and attractions, carport convenient for city parking (just have to make a several-point turn to get out but hey that's city living), Justin very quick to respond to questions and granted my request to check in early, lots of space including two eating areas, cute front porch to sit on, snacks waiting upon arrival. Overall clean although see note on bathrooms below. There was a temporary problem with thermostat and Justin responded right away and was about to drive over to help (luckily, he was able to fix it remotely). Very cute house with nice decor, felt comfortable.
Cons: cleaning fee was substantial (compared to other rentals of similar size we’ve done) yet bathrooms weren't spotless (had my kids shower instead of take bath because there were a few small hairs and some dust in the bathtub, nothing egregious just made me wonder how thoroughly the tub had been cleaned) and guests are expected to strip all beds and start a load of wash (towels) before leaving, on top of the usual dish washing and wiping down surfaces. Also, no interior doors lock, bedrooms **or even bathrooms**--in fact, the primary bathroom's sliding barn door doesn't even stay closed which could make for an awkward stay depending on who you're with. The back of the barn door was pretty dirty, too. Bath towels very small and pillows extremely thin, but the bed was pretty comfy. Pre-arrival process was pretty involved, I've never had to email my ID or sign a rental agreement before but I guess hosts have to protect themselves.
Overall yes I would stay here again due to responsiveness of host and the excellent location (lots of great stuff nearby and the carport is such a nice perk). Just would like to see locks on bedroom doors and bathrooms, an en-suite bathroom door that closes, and either a reduced cleaning fee (this is the highest I've ever paid for a similar property) or reduced expectations at check-out. But for a (mostly) clean, safe place in Atlanta with plenty of space and covered parking and a very polite and responsive host, this place can't be beat. Nightly rate was also very reasonable considering the size and convenience. Thanks for being so responsive and for the overall pleasant stay. Felt like a home away from home in ATL.
