We saw alot an did everything we wanted to do in our 6 day stay Mr. Lopez was wonderful

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We had everything we needed. My favorite part was the back porch. We started and ended each day out there. Amazing!!

This quaint home is perfect for those who seek refuge from the city life, but wants the safety of amenities. The villa has two bedrooms with window a/c units that were on a timer from 8pm to 8am. This was fine with us since we were off exploring the island everyday and the weather was delightful. What amazed us the most is how we were able to have all the windows and doors open and not a bug came in to harass us. Seriously, we brought mosquito repellent and did not have to use it once. The kitchen had the necessities needed to cook meals. When we were at the house we spent most of the time on the balcony enjoying the views and the songs of the wildlife. We even went hiking in the early mornings throughout the neighborhood and found plenty of passion fruit that we ate for breakfast. The neighborhood was quiet (except for the nature sounds) and we felt quite safe. We love the fact that a few minutes away were the beaches, the rain forest and since we rented a car we were able to take adventures throughout the entire island. We stayed for 8 days and not once saw a bug in the house, nor did we have any major problems. My mother in law stayed on the futon in the living room and refused to sleep with the windows or door open to get the fresh air, so it became quite stuffy since there was no a/c. That was about the only issue we had. Any other issues Marcos addressed them right away. If you are looking for a unique, comfortable, quaint, nature filled, home away from home, then this is the place to come. We definitely want to come back....but this time with out the mother-in-law or teen....lol!!

My stay at Marcos place was great. It's an amazing home with a beautiful view from the balcony. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable, the home had everything you need to feel right at home. Marcos was very attentive, he was also amazing. My family that came to visit me loved the place so much they stayed with me until the end of my vacation. The purpose of my trip with my mom was to attended her nephew's wedding and needed a place that can accommodate her needs, Marcos place was it, perfect. Later found out that Marcos already knew some members of my family years ago, what a small world, he also attended the wedding. The home is definitely better than staying at a hotel, highly recommended. Marcos thank you for everything and hope to come back soon, with no doubts will stay again. Best, Ruth

I had the pleasure of staying at this villa for a week. When we first arrived to Luquillo we met up with Mr. Lopez and followed him to the property. The villa is located in a quiet, safe, gated community. The property was clean and spacious with plenty of windows to keep it cool during the day (a/c runs for 12 hours per day, don't worry you'll probably turn it off). My favorite aspect was the balcony which is accessible from the kitchen and master bedroom. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking! Mr. Lopez was very kind and made sure we were satisfied during our stay. He even provided us with native rum and cake! Yum! There is also plenty of restaurants and fun activities (ATV, horseback riding, zip-lining, etc) nearby. I would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Luquillo!

Sadly, our stay in Luquillo was only for 5 nights. Our host, Marcos, met us in Luquillo and we followed him up to the gated community. My friend and I were greeted by the neighborhood dogs and the very friendly cat. Marcos gave us the grand tour and we settled in. The welcome basket of local treats and rum was much appreciated and the fresh cut flowers were beautiful. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. No oven, but not a big deal 'cause I'm on vacation. The rooms had ceiling fans that were much nicer than using the A/C. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked and there were more than enough towels. The balcony was the best with great views, TV, table, hammock, protected from the rain. We would go out there every morning clutching our coffee and make our daily plans over breakfast. We even got food to go from a restaurant or cooked just so we could kick off our shoes, and have a nice dinner on our balcony. The location was convenient to San Juan, Humacao, El Yunque, beaches, and stores/restaurants in Luquillo, but you really do need to have a car. Thank you to Marcos for calling us to make sure we were okay and didn't need help with anything after we had an accident with our rental car.

What a great place to spend a week in Puerto Rico! It was close to the beautiful Luquillo beach, right next to the El Yunque Rainforest, close to a grocery store and anything you needed in Luquillo, a short drive to explore San Juan, yet private and away from it all. Marcos was a gracious host, met us on time and had the house ready -complete with fresh cut flowers and Puerto Rican rum! It was very useful to have beach chairs and towels available as well as anything else that you would normally need in your own home. We could have spent the whole time relaxing with a book, overlooking the beautiful view off the balcony. We would definitely recommend this home!

We had a great time staying near Luquillo for 2 weeks as the house is well-located near the beaches, shopping, restaurants, and the highway. The house is in a gated community and has a huge balcony with a gorgeous view overlooking treetops out to the ocean. Lovely breezes kept things comfortable and ceiling fans on the balcony and in the bedrooms helped as well. Both bedrooms have A/C, but we only used it twice. The kitchen is adequately furnished with dishes and pans and there is a large refrigerator and a stove top. The beds are comfortable and there were plenty of linens, hot water, and nice, tiled showers. We passed many happy hours on the balcony relaxing and playing games with our adult children. We are nature-lovers and found wonderful places to hike and explore all along the east coast, all the way to the tip at Punta Tuna. We give this place a 4 star rating for the absence of screen doors and the screens in the master bedroom and the kitchen had holes in them, making it necessary to close the windows and doors by 4:30 pm to avoid having mosquitoes in the house at night. We wanted open windows and night sounds, not to be closed in with A/C running. If the windows and doors had effective screens this would be a 5 star property.

This house was a perfect getaway during our Christmas vacation in Puerto Rico! The patio has incredible views of the lush rainforest, and the ocean. The house was comfortable for our family, and the owner was more than accommodating. Very close to Luquillo and the beach, and near the kiosks where you can shop and eat. San Juan is a short commute away as well. We will definitely be back soon, and recommend this home whole-heartedly! Chris P.

Marcos was a wonderful host! The house was very clean and comfortable. The views are just like you see in the pictures. Loved swaying in the hammock listening to the coqui.
